Yesterday, it was an honor to speak at the School Librarians in Rhode Island (formerly Rhode Island Educational Media Association) conference in Warwick.  The day began with a breakfast presentation to administrators followed by a keynote address followed by a concurrent session.  Following are links to the presentation slides from those events:

What’s In It For Me?  How Principals & Teachers Benefit from Strong School Library Programs

21st Century Learning & The Future of School Libraries

Cut-to-the-Chase Research: Why and How to Pursue Evidence-Based Practice in Your School Library

  1. Keith–
We’ve received some really good feedback from the presentations. The superintendent from East Greenwich asked for some follow up materials which he has since received. Overall a good day; thanks for your part.

  2. I’m delighted to hear that, Phyllis. BTW, I posted all three presentations on Slideshare, too, in case that makes it easier for some people to get them. These versions, however, are ‘sans graphics’ while those posted here are the full presentations. Please continue to keep me posted on the status of school library programs in RI. And thanks again for inviting me to speak at your conference. It was an honor and a pleasure.
