Today–November 1, 2013–two articles were posted on the Library Journal website regarding this year’s edition of the LJ Index of Public Library Service and its Star Library ratings.

The main annual article appears at: http://lj.libraryjournal.com/2013/11/managing-libraries/lj-index/class-of-2013/americas-star-libraries-2013-top-rated-libraries/.

A companion article proposing two new output measures–library website visits and wifi access usage–appears at:  http://lj.libraryjournal.com/2013/11/managing-libraries/lj-index/class-of-2013/the-case-for-new-outputs/.

For general reference, it may also be useful to know that there is now a persistent URL for the LJ Index project.  That is:  http://lj.libraryjournal.com/category/managing-libraries/lj-index/ .

In addition to these links, there is also a section of this website devoted to the LJ Index.  Its link is:  http://keithcurrylance.com/lj_index/.
