Karen Gavigan of the University of South Carolina and I are pleased to be the co-authors of the cover article in the October issue of Teacher Librarian magazine. The title of the article is Everybody’s Teacher: Administrators’ and Teachers’ Perceptions of School Librarians: Findings from the South Carolina Association of School Librarians Impact Study (pages 8 through 11).
This article highlights findings from the South Carolina study that describe the policies and practices that administrators value in school library programs and the roles associated with librarians by administrators and teachers.
Also included in this issue is a centerfold of the South Carolina study infographic.
The full report on the South Carolina study is titled How Libraries Transform Schools by Contributing to Student Success: Evidence Linking South Carolina School Libraries and PASS & HSAP Results.
